Safeguarding is at the centre of all we do here at Queniborough CE Primary School. Safeguarding our children is the responsibility of all staff in our school.
We are proud to work successfully in partnership with families and professional services to support our pupils.
Our comprehensive safeguarding policy is available below. This is supported by our anti bullying and behaviour policies, also found in the policies tab.
Our Designated Safeguarding Leader is Mrs Alisha Durrant, Acting Deputy Headteacher. Mrs Durrant is also the Prevent leader for the school. DSL’s are trained in dealing with child abuse and safeguarding children.
Our Deputy Designated Safeguarding leaders are Mrs Lindsay Charlton, Acting Headteacher, Mrs Katie Spencer (SENDCO & Acting Deputy Headteacher) and Mrs Dawn Arlott (Admin team) and Miss Hayley Wilcziewicz (support staff and wraparound care)
Should parents or members of the public have any concerns or worries about a pupil in our school, please get in touch with Mrs Durrant via the office. 0116 2606700

Contact Leicestershire police on 101 if you think a crime has been committed but there is no immediate danger.
Our school is part of Operation Encompass. This is a police and education early intervention safeguarding partnership which supports children and young people.
Building upon the national success of Operation Encompass (Police in all 43 forces in England and Wales sharing information with schools about children experiencing domestic abuse) Leicestershire police are expanding the information that they are sharing confidentially with the safeguarding leads in Leicestershire schools.
From the 19th of September 2022 they have begun a phased rollout across the Police Force sharing with us incidents that they have attended where they feel there has been an impact upon a child’s physical, emotional or mental well-being. This information is shared so that our school can better understand children’s living experience and can support, nurture and care for them more effectively.
